Privacy policy

This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. The data controller is Shashwat Aditya, individual proprietor, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India.

What we collect

• Account details — your email address and the tutor you subscribed to.
• Session content — what you say or type during practice sessions with a tutor. Voice audio is processed to run the session; we keep transcripts, not raw recordings, unless we tell you otherwise at the point of recording.
• Payment data — handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. We never see or store your card number; we receive confirmation of payment, the product purchased, and your country.
• Usage analytics — page views and product events via Google Analytics 4, and ad-click data via Google Ads, used to understand which tutors people want and whether our pages work.

What we use it for

• Delivering sessions and remembering your progress with a tutor.
• Billing, trials, and subscription management.
• Support — answering your email.
• Improving tutor quality, including automated review of sessions for accuracy and safety.
• Measuring our advertising and our pages.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your session content to advertise to you.

AI processing

Tutors are AI systems. Your session content is processed by AI models (including Google's Gemini models) to generate the tutor's responses and to quality-check them. Session content is not used by us to train foundation models.

Who we share data with

• Dodo Payments — payments, taxes, and disputes (merchant of record).
• Google Cloud — hosting, storage, and AI processing.
• Google Analytics and Google Ads — analytics and ad measurement.

Each processes data under its own safeguards and only to provide its service to us. Data may be processed outside your country, including in India and the United States.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies for sign-in and for analytics (Google Analytics, with the cookie set on helpsyoulearn.comso your session survives moving between a tutor's page and checkout). We do not run third-party advertising cookies on our pages.

Retention and your rights

Account and session data are kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymised within 90 days of account deletion, except where payment records must be kept longer by law. You can ask us at any time to access, correct, export, or delete your data — email support@helpsyoulearn.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in India, you have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; if elsewhere, we honour the equivalent rights of your jurisdiction.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
